Today, the TRES Claude Plugin is live in Anthropic’s official plugin directory. Every plugin in the directory is reviewed against Anthropic’s quality and security standards before it is approved. Finance teams can now add TRES to Claude through an official channel, in a few clicks, with the same credentials and permissions they already use.
The listing also opens a new front door to the TRES AI suite, already the most comprehensive AI suite on the market for finance teams working with digital assets. The plugin joins TRES AI Connect, our MCP server, and Vera, our agentic accounting assistant. Every tool is built by TRES, runs on the same verified financial data, and works with the permissions your team already has.
The TRES AI suite
Finance teams don’t all work in one place. Some run their day inside the TRES platform. Some work in Claude or ChatGPT. Some are building their own agents in the terminal. Therefore TRES has built AI for every one of those environments, each drawing on the same verified financial data.
TRES AI Connect: your entire TRES account, inside any AI
Launched in April, TRES AI Connect is an MCP server that connects your entire TRES account directly to Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP-compatible AI. Every data point and every TRES function becomes available through the AI tools your team already uses.
Ask anything. “What were my historical balances on December 31st?” Every wallet, every transaction and every balance answers you directly, in plain English. No dashboards, no report builders, no gigantic CSV files.
Run complex tasks in a single prompt. Audit your wallet inventory, flag inactive wallets and surface unlabelled counterparties in one request. When you’re ready to act on the findings, say go ahead, and it runs.
Turn repeated work into complete workflows. The pre-audit health check, AP/AR matching and month-end close become skills you run on demand, with consistent, documented results every time.
Deploy back office agents. Build agents on the framework of your choice that check reconciliation gaps, unlabelled transactions and unexpected wallet movements every morning, before you open your laptop. The things you used to catch by chance, you now catch by design.
AI Connect gave AI full access to your financial data. But access alone does not carry your team’s methodology, such as how your entity treats a liquid staking token or which dust threshold matters. Therefore, in July, we launched Vera.
Vera: the agentic accounting assistant inside TRES
Vera already knows your wallets, your ledger and your chart of accounts. She is trained on crypto CPA best practice, with IFRS and GAAP built in, and works in the background, connected directly to your data.
Team Memory. Your accounting rules, ERP mappings, wallet conventions and thresholds are written once and read by Vera before every action, so your methodology holds from one conversation to the next.
Custom skills. Vera’s built-in skills cover reconciliation triage, financial analysis, roll-forward and smart tagging. Custom skills extend her to the workflows unique to your business.
Scheduled jobs. The balance watchdog, the weekly reconciliation triage and the month-end close suite run on schedule, without anyone having to start them.
Control and a full audit trail. Every action Vera takes waits for your approval. Every change is logged, flagged as AI-generated and exportable to your auditor.
Vera brought your methodology into the TRES platform. But many finance teams run their working day inside Claude, therefore the newest piece of the suite meets them there.
What does the new TRES Claude Plugin achieve?
You want AI connected to your finances. That part is straightforward. Point a model at your tool’s APIs and it can query anything the schema allows.
But an API only tells your agent what it’s allowed to call, not what it should. It doesn’t know which of the eighteen reports can answer the question your auditor is actually asking, or how your entity prices an asset with no clean market reference.
So the model doesn’t really work for you, it simply regurgitates info that already exists in a new format. It can’t tell the difference between a real answer and a plausible one, therefore it gives you the plausible one. But a plausible answer isn’t the right answer for the way you operate your books.
The problem isn’t access. It’s context.
An API can tell a model what data exists. It can’t tell it what that data means inside your operations. No schema explains which of eighteen reports actually answers an auditor’s question, or what has to be true before a number is safe to sign off on. That knowledge lives with the platform, not the schema, and nobody holds it more directly than TRES. That is why the plugin is built by TRES, on TRES’s own procedures.
Before Claude touches your data, it’s already read TRES’s operating playbook: the same procedures our support team runs on. Which report answers which question, down to the tab and column. What has to be true before a number is trustworthy. How to build a request the schema won’t reject. Where the traps sit, such as the export that comes back empty and looks complete.
That knowledge is packaged as skills. One skill, one job, each carrying the exact procedure for that piece of TRES work. You send a sentence. The skill runs it, in the right order, checked before it executes.
This isn’t simply just a chatbot that knows about TRES. This is your full TRES accounting platform, connected through a Claude plugin, with the permissions you already have and the data you already trust. Claude becomes the interface: you ask, it calls the right skill for the job, and the result comes back as something you can act on.
What you can achieve with the plugin
We’ve pulled together some examples of what you can achieve when using the new TRES Claude plugin:
Run and review cost basis. Strategy, recalculation, impairments and revaluations, along with the issues that quietly break a close, such as a negative balance or a missing price.
Reprice swaps under ASC 845. Apply equal-value exchange across a population of swaps, so the clearing account nets to zero.
Close reconciliation gaps. Gaps are surfaced with fiat and on-chain balances already attached, then resolved without leaving the conversation.
Onboard a new entity. Wallets, collection, validation, reconciliation, cost basis, address labeling and rollup rules, in the order they have to run, from a single request.
Test a rollup rule before it goes live. See exactly which sub-transactions a proposed rule would claim, with every filter applied, and catch any overlap before it reaches the ledger.
Find the right report, then produce it. Describe the goal, receive the report that answers it, and have it generated and delivered without opening the export screen.
Match invoices and bills to the payments that settled them. Start from a hash or an open bill, match it, and push the result to NetSuite, QuickBooks or Xero.
These are writes to your subledger, never to a chain. TRES still cannot move your funds.
The math is calculated. Not guessed.
Ask an AI to do accounting and the real concern is simple: is the number right, or did it just sound right?
With this plugin, it’s calculated. Not guessed. Wherever the work produces a number, code produces it, not the model. The ASC 845 logic and report analysis run inside the plugin itself. Same inputs, same output, every time, to a fixed precision, with the working shown before anything is committed.
Claude runs the conversation. It reads your ledger, gathers context and talks you through it. But the arithmetic doesn’t come from Claude. Therefore what you receive is a repricing plan to approve, not a paragraph estimating what the number might be.
