Institutions are pledging, lending, and repo’ing tokenized US Treasuries, equities and ETFs on Canton right now. Most of them cannot see that activity on their own books, which means the moment a regulator or auditor asks for proof, someone is reconstructing it by hand instead of pulling it from the ledger.

From today, that gap is now completely closed. TRES now fully supports DTCC tokenized assets on Canton. We connect directly to the Canton validator where an institution’s activity lives, read the transactions that belong to its parties, and turn them into reconciled, audit-ready books. We’ve already onboarded the Fireblocks validator, so institutions transacting DTCC tokenized securities through Fireblocks have that activity in TRES from their first trade. TRES is the first and only digital asset financial platform to give institutions a fully reconciled, audit-ready record of their DTCC tokenized activity on Canton.

Where Canton and DTCC stand today

In December 2025, the SEC issued a no-action letter allowing DTC to tokenize securities it holds in custody. DTCC partnered with Digital Asset to bring that service to Canton, and now co-chairs the Canton Foundation alongside Euroclear. On July 15, 2026, DTCC ran live production trades in tokenized securities, and the full Tokenization Service is scheduled to launch in October 2026.

That launch lands inside a network that’s already moving real institutional volume. Broadridge’s Distributed Ledger Repo, built on Canton technology, processed $7.5 trillion of repo in June 2026, averaging $357 billion a day. J.P. Morgan’s Kinexys is bringing its USD deposit token, JPM Coin, natively to Canton. Goldman Sachs’ digital asset platform, GS DAP, runs on Canton technology, and BNP Paribas and HSBC have joined the Canton Foundation. Circle launched USDCx on Canton, giving institutions a USDC-backed cash leg for private settlement. Fireblocks has supported Canton since February 2026 and operates as a Canton Super Validator.

J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, HSBC and Broadridge are not moving trivial sums onto Canton. They’re using it for repo, collateral and settlement activity that has to be reported to regulators, defended to auditors, and reconciled against a general ledger every single quarter. For those institutions, an unbookable position isn’t a technical inconvenience, it’s a compliance failure waiting to be found.

And today, that’s impossible to solve on Canton without TRES. No other platform has the software, the reporting layer, and the ability to see private transaction data on the network. TRES has all three, because Fireblocks operates as a Canton Super Validator and is part of the alliance running its infrastructure.

Why DTCC tokenized assets are invisible to most financial data platforms

On most blockchains, financial data starts with public data. You enter a wallet address, and an indexer or explorer returns every transaction and balance tied to it. That’s what most platforms reconcile against, and what most reporting is built on.

Canton doesn’t work that way, by design. Public data only shows the public asset: Canton Coin and network governance. DTCC tokenized Treasuries and equities, and the repo, pledges and lending built on them, run as private transactions, so they never show up there. Every party lives on a validator, and that node holds its private record of activity, therefore without a connection to that validator, the data doesn’t exist for you. There’s no public explorer for your real positions. An address lookup that works on Ethereum returns nothing useful for a bank’s tokenized collateral on Canton.

So without direct validator access, the finance team is left asking operations to export activity by hand and rebuild it in spreadsheets before it can reach the general ledger. That puts back the manual reconciliation that atomic settlement was supposed to remove, just one step further downstream.

What banks and financial institutions can solve with TRES

With TRES, there’s no more blind spots on Canton. Complete transaction history per party, including DTCC tokenized securities, not just the public Canton Coin activity everyone else is limited to.

  • Reconcile continuously, not at month end. TRES compares validator-reported balances against transaction history, flags gaps as they appear, and keeps a verifiable record of how every balance was reached.
  • Book the full lifecycle correctly. Pledges and releases, repo opening and closing legs, and collateral substitutions are recorded as the economic events they are. A substitution is booked as one event, not two unrelated transfers.
  • Answer to your auditors, on infrastructure they already trust. When a tokenized Treasury sits in private ledger data, “we checked the explorer” isn’t an answer. TRES gives audit teams a reconciled, timestamped record tied back to the validator’s own data, run on a SOC 1 Type 2 certified platform.
  • Feed your ERP without a bridge. Oracle, SAP and NetSuite weren’t built to take in Canton contract events. TRES is the subledger in between, turning on-chain activity into journal entries your ERP already understands.
  • Prove segregation on demand, backed by audited controls. Client and proprietary positions, reconciled continuously by entity and by desk, instead of rebuilt from scratch every time a regulator asks, all on a SOC 1 Type 2 certified platform.
  • Run one subledger, not one per chain. DTCC’s service runs on more than one network, and collateral programs rarely stay on one chain. TRES gives you one subledger across Canton and everything else you hold, so adding a network doesn’t mean adding a reconciliation process.

Ready before October

The DTCC Tokenization Service goes live in October 2026. Every participant will need wallet and validator infrastructure to transact. Therefore every one of them will need a way to account for it.

With the Fireblocks validator already onboarded, institutions using Fireblocks to hold and move DTCC tokenized securities on Canton can reconcile that activity in TRES from day one, with no integration project in between.

At SIBOS this week? Book a meeting with the Fireblocks team to see it live.
