Every digital asset finance team has the same problem: too many recurring tasks, not enough automation. The balance watchdog. The weekly reconciliation triage. The month-end close suite. Tasks that do not change much from cycle to cycle, but still need someone to initiate them, wait on them, and review the output.

The bottleneck is not complexity. It is repetition.

What Vera’s ‘Scheduled Jobs’ Actually Does

If you haven’t already seen our powerful Agentic Accounting Assistant, Vera, then you can learn more about its capabilities in full by reading our Vera Introduction Article.

Vera’s ‘Scheduled Jobs’ now enables you to only have to define a recurring workflow once and then you can let Vera run it on a scheduled cadence that you set – daily, weekly, or monthly – removing the requirement from you or your team spending time on mundane tasks.

This means you can set specific ‘Jobs’ for Vera to take care of. Each job is either read-only (the default) or you can select write-enabled. As Write jobs are more sensitive and require greater controls, they require a one-time grant at setup that specifies exactly which edits Vera is allowed to make. Every future run is verified against that grant before anything is written. If a run falls outside the approved scope, it will not complete – making sure that you have full control of what happens with your jobs.

Jobs can also carry a built-in skill attachment, so each scheduled run loads the right playbook automatically – reconciliation triage for the Monday run, financial analysis for the weekly snapshot. This provides a huge range of capabilities, enabling your team to automate away the painful, manual recurring tasks, so they can focus on higher ticket work.

What Can You Already Do with Vera’s Scheduled Jobs?

Scheduled Jobs is already live. Here’s some examples of what you can achieve already with Vera:

  • Daily Asset Balances Watchdog (07:00): A write job that checks whether the prior day’s balance run completed without errors. If it did not, Vera flags the gap and initiates a recovery run before the finance team starts work.
  • Monday Close-the-Books Suite: A chained set of six jobs – Reconciliation Triage, Rollup Suggestions, Classification Rules, Cost Basis Check, Fiat Value Triage, and Wallet Discovery – running in sequence every Monday morning.
  • Weekly Treasury Snapshot and Daily P&L Anomaly Check: Read-only monitoring jobs that surface threshold breaches and anomalies without touching any data.
  • Mark Lockup Outflows as Non-Taxable and Plug Opening Balances (Friday 20:00): Recurring write jobs that maintain the ledger every week with no human intervention.

A significant share of these jobs carry write-grants, and many are skill-attached – loading the right playbook automatically on each run, providing potential to totally overhaul your recurring task workflow.

How Can Vera’s Scheduled Jobs Help You?

Digital asset finance teams are understaffed relative to transaction volume. A single payment platform might process 10,000 transactions per day across 30,000 wallet addresses – and still have a three-person finance team. Automation is not a nice-to-have. It is the only way those numbers work.

Alongside this, Finance teams are being asked more and more about their AI strategy. We’re helping to build out AI tools that can enable your team to work at lightning fast pace, with complete accuracy and clarity.

Vera’s Scheduled Jobs moves the recurring, rules-based layer of finance work off the team’s plate entirely. The team sets the rules once. Vera executes them correctly, every cycle, every time.
